The
ISO General Assembly
consists of a meeting of the Principal Officers of ISO and
delegates nominated by the member bodies. Correspondent members and subscriber
members may also attend the ISO General Assembly, which meets annually, as
observers. The Principal Officers include the President, who is a prominent
figure in standardization or in business, the Vice President (Policy), the Vice
President (Technical Management), the Treasurer, and the Secretary-General. The
General Assembly’s agenda includes, inter-alia, actions related to the ISO
Annual Report, the Strategic Plan with financial implications, and the
Treasurer’s annual financial status report on the ISO Central Secretariat.

34th ISO General Assembly will take place in
New Delhi, India,
from Monday, the 19th September to
Saturday, the 24th
September 2011. During
the General Assembly week, Bureau of Indian Standards will also host the Open
Session on
“Industry and Standards- Fostering Innovation and Building Competitive
Advantage”
as well as meetings of the ISO Council, the ISO Technical Management Board (TMB)
and the ISO Committee on Developing Country Matters (DEVCO).

Participation:
The ISO General Assembly is open to the delegates appointed by the ISO members
and representatives of invited international organizations. The Open Session on
Thursday, the 22nd September 2011, however, will also be open to
members of the public.
